Peckham Peacocks, 2010

Rachael House invites you to doff your parka, brush up your desert boots and come to

Peckham Peacocks

– a mobility scooter meet in Peckham Square

with The Red Wheelies mobility scooter formation display team

Saturday 12th June 2010 2.00pm – 5.00pm
All welcome!

Peckham Peacocks is an art event for mobility scooter riders, foot powered scooter riders and pedestrians.

At Peckham Peacocks Mobility Scooter Meet you will be able to design a club pennant, be a face at our artist-made coffee bar, have a sixties style makeover, test ride a mobility scooter and much more.

If your scooter won’t pass muster, Peckham Peacocks skilled team of mechanics will customise it with our club colours. This free service is for mobility scooters; foot powered micro scooters, children’s scooters, and all hand made DIY scooters. You won’t believe how sharp it feels to be a member of Peckham Peacocks Mobility Scooter Club.

We will thrill to the expertise of our guests, all the way from the south coast- The Red Wheelies, women’s mobility scooter formation team. We will even have the opportunity to join them in a line dance.

The Ace Face of Peckham Peacocks is Kath Serkis, founder club member, inspiration and collaborator. Onion the miniature bull terrier is club mascot, and the patron saint of Peckham Peacocks is Ian Dury.

Come along, look smart, make a noise and take up space, riders and pedestrians, with or without a mobility scooter and join the Peckham Peacocks.

Peckham Peacocks is commissioned by Peckham Space for the launch of their new venue on Peckham Square, 12th June 2010.
